Green Light Charity is a Ugandan non-profit whose mission is to raise educated children who are healthy, happy, and hopeful. Their goal is clear and simple: to keep every child in school. Speak Up NYC and Green Light Charity are similar in many ways. Both of us want to give back to our respective communities and provide our students with the education they deserve. Green Light Charity agrees that public speaking and debate is an essential part of a child’s education. Thus, Speak Up NYC and Green Light Charity have partnered together to provide Ugandan disadvantaged communities with free Speak Up NYC curriculum. We’re also supporting Green Light by fundraising for their focus areas which include basic health education, menstrual education, HIV support, poverty eradication, and climate change.
