About Speak Up NYC
Speak Up NYC is a student-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to help students find their voices. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to learn how to speak up for themselves and express their ideas confidently. The number one fear in America is glossophobia, also known as the fear of public speaking. Speak Up NYC can help students conquer this fear, one student at a time. Our mission is to help children in communities that may not already have the resources or opportunities to learn about public speaking and the art of debate.
